I'm on the faculty of a health science department at a large university. Most of my articles derive from conferences or presentations within the university medical center. These often lead to interesting discussions that I can share with a wider audience.

Besides being interesting, medical and healthcare information can help people participate more in their own health care. When individuals participate more, it leads to better outcomes for them, and helps control costs.

I've written articles that have appeared in medical journals, policy journals, and general public issues. I also write and edit for a government agency.
